Study rates San Antonio as a good city for single divorcees
Being single isn’t always easy, especially if you have been married before. After divorce, you may desire a new relationship but feel worried about getting out there again.
If you live in San Antonio, you might be in luck. According to WalletHub, Alamo City is the second-best city in Texas for singles. WalletHub rated more than 180 U.S. cities on factors like economics, fun and recreation, and dating opportunities. They ranked San Antonio 48th in the country and second only to Houston in the Lone Star State.
Single-friendly criteria
The scores were based on a wide range of factors related to dating, such as what percentage of each city’s population is single, the average prices of restaurant meals and drinks, and the cost of a movie ticket. While San Antonio ranked relatively low in the dating opportunities category (73rd), the city did better in the economics and fun and recreation categories.
So when you are ready to date again, you could do worse than San Antonio. For instance, Brownsville down at the southern tip of the state ranked second to last.
One step at a time
Dating after divorce is not necessarily easy. But it generally goes better if you have a solid and enforceable child custody order, along with a property division settlement that keeps you financially stable and independent. But even if you and your ex are prepared to work together to settle your divorce relatively quickly, you need honest and knowledgeable legal representation. Your divorce attorney’s job is to represent your interests and use their skills to achieve your goals.
